Terms of use

License Requirements
Vehicles will only be rented to persons with a valid drivers license and a Debit- or a Credit card.

Rental Period
The vehicle must be return at least 30 minutes before the end of the rental period which will enable one of our consultants to do a full assessment on the vehicle for any damage. The client will be liable for any damages to the car. The client will be liable for an additional day’s rental if the vehicle is returned later than the expiry time of the rental period.

Extension on Rental
If the client wishes to extend the rental period, Thabazimbi Car Hire must be informed in advance. Failure to do so will result in the car being reported stolen.

Payment
Payment must be done with a valid Debit or Credit card. An upfront fee will be charged for the daily rental of the car, once the car is returned the remainder of the fee will be calculated and charged based on the kilometers traveled, if the kilometers exceeds the free daily kilometers.
By accepting the Terms and Conditions the client gives Thabazimbi Car Hire consent to subtract any amount from the clients account for any damages, loss or fines.

Additional driver charge
Additional driver charge of R 136.66 per driver.

Drop off charges
The vehicle can be collected from the clients premises at a fixed fee, see the services page for the updated fees.

Fuel
The vehicle will be supplied to the client with a full tank of fuel and the client must ensure that the vehicle is returned with a full tank. If the tank is not full the client will pay for the refueling.

Speedometers
All speedometers are sealed and if found tampered with or disconnected when the car is returned a minimum charge of R 400.00 per day will be raised.

Clean vehicle
The vehicle must be cleaned before returning it to Thabazimbi Car Hire. A fixed fee will be charged in the event that the car is not clean.

Excess for Damage, loss or theft
In case of theft, an accident or damage to the vehicle, the client will be liable to pay the excess amount of R 5000.00.
In the event of an accident occurring when the vehicle was not driven by the client or additional driver as specified on the rental agreement the client will be responsible for the full damage to or loss of the vehicle. The client will also be responsible if the vehicle was driven on unsuitable roads if the client was driving negligently or if no other car, animal or object was involved.

Indemnity of loss of personal property or injury
Thabazimbi Car Hire will not be liable for any loss or injury suffered during the rental period.

Traffic Fine
Should the customer disobey a traffic regulation which results in a fine, such amounts will be debited to the customers credit card.
